Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers

CARES Logo

Anthony Clarke, a Technical Director at Curtins’ Liverpool office, is one of only thirty three engineers to be recognised by ICE and IStructE as a Conservation Accredited Engineer.

The Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers (CARE) identifies civil and structural engineers skilled in the conservation of historic structures and sites.

Anthony followed a rigorous approval procedure to confirm an appreciation of disciplines and interests extending well beyond his professional training as an engineer.

CARE is recognised by English Heritage, Cadw in Wales, Historic Scotland, NIEA (Northern Ireland) and relevant professional bodies.

Anthony has undertaken a number of high profile Conservation projects including John Rylands
Library, Manchester, Tate Gallery Liverpool and the Skyways aircraft hanger conversion at
Liverpool, all of which were included in his part of his CARE submission.
