Health and Safety
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007, require the appointment of a CDM Coordinator on all construction projects which:
- Will entail more than five persons at work on site at any one time
- Involve any demolition work
Curtins act as CDM Coordinator on projects of all types and sizes and provide services in accordance with the Regulations including:
- Advising and assisting the Client in meeting his obligations
- Assessing the competency of designers and Principle Contractors with respect to the Regulations
- Notification to the Health & Safety Executive
- Ensure co-operation between designers
- Prepare the pre- construction information
- Review the construction health and safety plan and advise the client if it is adequate to allow works to start
- Co-ordinate the production of the Health and Safety File
We do not see projects being brought about by a series of independent consultants working in their own narrow disciplines. To us, it will be a complete team approach where the Project-Challenges become the Team’s Challenges and the Solutions become the Team’s Solutions. Success becomes the Team’s success.
Curtins approach is to be pro-active through the contract, to assist the client, project manager, design team and contractors to fulfil their duties and obligations and to fully participate in the construction process.
