Bluecoat School
Curtins were employed by the Bluecoat School Foundation to provide Civil and Structural engineering services for a £7.2 million refurbishment and upgrade of the existing Bluecoat School in Wavertree, Liverpool.
The project involved construction of a new annex building which incorporates service laboratories, classrooms, a dance studio and a sports hall. The existing Grade 2 listed school buildings have been refurbished and a reception area has been constructed as the new gateway to the school.
The problems associated with off-site drainage have been solved through the provision of new underground storage facilities for storm water.
