Curtins were appointed on 4 year framework with Imperial College London in 2004 and has been recently been extended to 2012. We are working on various new build and refurbishment projects spread over the South Kensington campus as well as Royal Brompton & Hammersmith Hospitals.

Imperial College London owns the largest estate in the UK Higher education sector. The College undertakes a wide range of new build and maintenance projects across its campus sites which are funded through various sources and include the College Capital Plan, non-budgeted projects sponsored by the Faculties and from the government through the Scientific Research and Infrastructure Funding (SRIF). The College is currently spending £100million per annum on construction projects to improve its research and support facilities.

John Caine, a director in our London office, is a Framework Manager on the Framework Management Committee representing the structural engineers on the Framework. The Committee meet quarterly and act as a Steering group for the framework to optimise the benefits of the framework structure to all stakeholders, promote best practice and ensure transparency of the framework process.

Curtins have been named framework partner of the quarter and continually commended on high quality of service by the client, “Working on Sherfield, the Library and Student Union projects, Curtins produce first-rate design deliverable within cost and on deadline. They are continually pushing innovation and bringing best practice to the Framework” - Senior Project Manager, Les Ridgwell.
