Larden Road
This large £68 million mixed-use housing development, provides 450 units of social housing, shared ownership and private residence. The site is located in East Acton and is split into several medium and low rise blocks, both new build and refurbishment.
The existing 1960 and 1920 steel framed buildings are being refurbished to house some of the flats, with new 7 storey RC flat slab buildings and low rise timber framed houses providing the remainder of the units. The site was formerly an electrical and mechanical manufacturing workshop, and significant remediation was carried to enable construction work to proceed on this contaminated brown field site.
