Victoria Mills
Victoria Mills is a 19th century mill situated within the buffer zone of the World Heritage Site in Shipley, Bradford. The £70 million development will create over 300 luxury apartments complete with roof gardens, balconies, concierge service, landscaped gardens, a river frontage seating area and possible tennis courts.
The new 10 storey block comprises parking at ground floor level with 9 levels of residential accommodation above. The structure comprises a reinforced concrete frame on piled foundations.
Limitations on the height of the new 10 storey building, combined with complicated layout plans were such that an insitu reinforced concrete flat slab was adopted to minimise the construction depth to 300mm.
