Cashes Green
Curtins were appointed by joint venture organisation Hab Oakus to undertake the engineering designs for this new eco-community development for the HCA. Our client team includes Kevin McCloud from Channel 4's Grand Designs and is his company Hab's second residential scheme.
The project comprises the redevelopment of Cashes Green Hospital in Stroud to provide 78 dwellings to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 & 5 properties. The properties comprise a mix of terraced houses and flats with super insulated walling. The scheme also includes for reinstating adjacent land to allotments and we have designed the surface water system to flow through the allotments to allow irrigation and water storage facilities for the allotment users.
The site works also include for the diversion of an existing brook to help eliminate flooding of an adjacent site.
