Our People
Our staff are key to who we are as a business and to continue moving the industry forward, we need the best, enquiring minds to promote engineering and educate our communities and future workforce.
Curtins have a committed relationship with primary and secondary schools across the UK, where staff are regularly engaging and delivering on educational initiatives including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) campaigns. With a long-term view of development, we have invested in this initiative internally by establishing local STEM ambassadors in each of our 14 offices, who support the business in demonstrating the value of these subjects. The wider impact of this initiative has been realised in the opportunity to influence curriculum and facilitate CPD and careers education for teachers.

Mental health support
We have trained Mental Health First Aiders across all of our 14 offices who can provide initial support and for anyone who is experiencing a mental health issue; and we have provided mental health awareness training across the company.
We continually look at ways in which we can help to improve the health and wellbeing of our staff and equip them with the understanding to support others who may be suffering from a mental health issue. To create an open-door policy, our senior staff members have completed a Mental Health Training for Managers course too.
