This is a £23 million new build project with the University Partnerships Programme for the University of Kent. We worked directly for Mansell as the main structural and drainage consultant for the project.
The buildings consist of five 4-Storey Residential Halls consisting of eight blocks, a conference accommodation block, a conference facility and lecture theatre. The resident halls and accommodation block are timber framed structures with a high degree of prefabrication and modular construction techniques being adopted.
The bedrooms are complete with en-suites manufactured as pods for rapid installation. The conference facility and lecture theatre are concrete and steel framed structures respectively.
