Nottingham Science Park Building No 2 (or Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Building) is the second in the development and creates 22,700 square foot of Grade A office space.

The project includes a café, an 80-space car park and a conference space, allowing companies to host conferences and events; creating a central hub for networking across the entire Nottingham Science Park site.

The building incorporates a dramatic 8m cantilever at its entrance and the façade is a pattern of modules in a combination of glazed elements and aluminium cladding panels.

    Key Points:

    • Complex 8m cantilever.
    • Building No. 2 was constructed on clinical waste landfill, capped 10 years previously on Phase 1. Displacement piles were required to prevent contaminated soil arisings.
    • Flood Zone 2 area required the finished floor level to be suspended higher than the anticipated fluvial flood level.
