    The Laboratory for Validation & Verification is
    a national centre of excellence for structural
    dynamics research and acoustics and vibration
    testing across a range of sectors including
    energy, aerospace and automotive.

    The new facility includes a large open
    workspace for specialist equipment with
    flexible space for engineering activities, and
    associated office accommodation.

    The 900sqm building comprises of a single
    storey industrial workshop with office and
    amenity spaces. The workshop contains a 10T
    overhead crane, three environmental chambers,
    a wind machine, a wave machine and a shaker
    table which is located within a 9.6×8.0x5.1m
    deep reinforced concrete pit.
