The project comprised the structural refurbishment of various types of non-traditional properties, including Airey, Kenkast, Swedish Timber, Trusteel and Unity. New roofs, windows, internal upgrades to WHQS and installation of external wall insulation were included in the works.

To the Airey houses, the existing external walls were removed and replaced with traditional masonry cavity walls.

Our pre-contract services included:

• Detailed external surveys of the relevant non-traditional properties, including external dimensional surveys of archetypes
• Amalgamation of structural/WHQS/energy efficiency works to produce whole house scope of work and budget costs for each property
• Preparation of specifications, schedules and drawings (which included incorporation of CCG standard WHQS specifications)
• Submission of the Planning and Building Regulations applications
• Compilation of the tender documentation to suit the TPC 2005 ACA Standard Form of Contract
• Cost evaluationation/recommendations of the most suitable tenderers to proceed with the works
