A new 18000m² Biomedical Research Building on the Cambridge Biomedical campus is under way.

The building intends to bring together medical research groups from a number of separate locations across the city to establish a new centre of excellence for research.

The centre will provide a foundation for the development of new medical treatments, whilst providing state of the art facilities. Along with lecture space, an exhibition area and a cafe which will open onto a landscaped courtyard.

The design has evolved to create appropriate spaces for interaction and collaboration within the building combined with a welcoming approach to the building.
