Moor Park is a 15-acre distribution and manufacturing hub located close to Junction 25 of the M62. The second phase will deliver five further industrial buildings, each ranging between 19,500 – 59,000 sqft, providing a total 180,000 sqft of new logistics and commercial space.

The project consisted of enabling works, ground improvement and remedial works to mine shafts; mine grouting; earthworks and excavation (cut and fill); drainage; infrastructure and utilities; and the construction of a new portal 70,000 sqft frame industrial warehouse facility (Unit 1) for Wesco, along with associated hard standings. Section 278 works were also provided to the existing highway, including access road and junction. The unit has an external yard to the front of the building for deliveries and distribution.

Client: Opus North

Role: Principal Designer and CDM Adviser to Client

The project is located in North Bierley at a redundant waste water treatment works adjoining Junction 26 on the M62 forming Phase 1 of a masterplan development covering 500,000 sqft. Phase 1 of the project includes for enabling works; bulk earthworks; highways; construction of a school car park; and the construction of Unit 1 including access road and site entrance, all of which is the first part of the mixed employment development. We have also since been appointed on the next phase of works which includes for a further enabling works package and two additional Units covering 60,000 sqft and 100,000 sqft.

Role: Principal Designer and CDM Adviser to Client

The project comprised of the demolition of a number of existing factory units to enable the construction of a new access road; security gate house; bicycle storage; weighbridge; modification to the existing factory entrance; redirection of various service and utility routes; provision of parking facilities; associated landscaping; and boundary treatments.
