- Curtins’ Andy Smith Appointed to CIRIA’s Ground Engineering Advisory Panel
We’re proud to share that Andy Smith, leader of Curtins’ geotechnical team, has been invited to join the Ground Engineering Advisory Panel at CIRIA in continuation of our long-standing collaboration with the association.
This appointment reflects Curtins’ commitment to advancing best practice in ground engineering. Over a three-year term, Andy will contribute to shaping technical thinking, guiding research, and sharing insights drawn from Curtins’ extensive project experience.
One of the panel’s first areas of focus will be carbon management, which will headline discussions at the upcoming board meeting in September.
Our partnership with CIRIA continues to thrive through the contributions of our talented team, most recently through a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer at our Birmingham office, Rowshi Hussain.
Rowshi has been working with CIRIA to assist with funding for their new proposed wireline logging in ground investigation guidance to research the use of wireline logging in the wider ground investigation community.
We look forward to seeing the impact of both Andy’s and Rowshi’s involvement in supporting the development of new guidance, research and innovation across the sector.
