Energy - The South, England
Our teams supported a planning application for the proposed Anglo-French high voltage electricity transmission interconnector on behalf of National Grid.
The proposals involved linking a new converter station at Chilling in Hampshire to a substation in the Lower Normandy region of France. A Transport Assessment, Construction Traffic Management Plan and ES Chapter was produced to support the successful planning application.
This project faced cross-border infrastructure complexity, which involved coordinating technical, environmental, and regulatory standards across two countries.
Through comprehensive stakeholder engagement, our teams managed to coordinated with local councils, residents, and environmental bodies to secure broad support.
