- Curtins Birmingham enters an exciting new chapter
We’re proud to welcome Andy Godber as our new Business Unit Director. A chartered civil and structural engineer with over 25 years of experience, Andy is the perfect fit to lead our Birmingham office into its next phase of growth.
Since opening in 1989, our Birmingham team has played a key role in shaping the city’s skyline - from Fort Dunlop, The Mailbox, Snowhill and Brindley Place, to recent projects like Exchange Square, Stone Yard, Smallbrook Queensway and the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
Andy brings deep expertise across both public and private sectors. He’ll be focusing on team development and regional collaboration, building on Curtins’ 30+ year legacy in Birmingham.
Andy Macfarlane, Board Director at Curtins, shared: “We’re delighted that Andy has joined Curtins to lead our Birmingham team into its exciting new chapter. His approach, experience and leadership will strengthen our people, client relationships, and drive sustainable growth - continuing the positive impact Curtins has had on the built environment in Birmingham and beyond.”
Andy Godber added, “I’ve been immediately struck by the strength of this employee-owned business and the breadth of its portfolio across Birmingham and the Midlands. I’m energised by the opportunity to build on this strong market position - delivering solutions that enhance the region’s built environment, create opportunities for the next generation of engineers, and continue Curtins’ mission to make a lasting positive impact on our communities.”
It’s a fantastic time to welcome Andy, as Curtins celebrates 65 years in business.
