We've been working on something exciting to celebrate Leeds 2023: Year of Culture - an exclusive photography exhibition, curated by Elly Fraser-Watts and Curtins.

The exhibition of 22 portraits, objects and music explores how engineers, their creativity and their lives influence the cities they shape and places them within creative cultural events.

We have partnered with a local photography student from Leeds Arts University to create the exhibition, Elly Fraser-Watts. Elly’s work is predominantly documentary based, with a passion for photographing personal stories and overlooked communities with a thoughtful artistic response.

Leeds 2023 Year of Culture aims to celebrate and transform the City’s identity creating a legacy of economic and social impact. To honour this, we are inviting local schools to visit the exhibition. The schools will enjoy interactive STEAM activities exploring civil and structural engineering, transport planning and environmental engineering, whilst also experiencing the cultural richness of an art exhibition.

Our Place will run through from 3rd - 5th October, and culminate in a private viewing event on Thursday 5th. If you would be interested in attending, please contact events@curtins.com.
