We were appointed by CWAC initially to assist with the Feasibility Study and went on to develop the design as part of the Client team through planning and on to tender.
This project is a major retail and leisure development adjacent to the River Weaver in Northwich town centre and includes the creation of more than 300,000sqft of shopping space, cinema, restaurant, cafes, new public realm spaces and parking for almost 1,200 vehicles.
The resultant transport planning and modelling inputs identified where mitigation would be necessary and we worked with CWAC and the Highways Agency to develop access solutions and off-site junction improvements that could accommodate the traffic. We advised on the S106 Agreement and Section 278 matters to ensure the improvements were linked to appropriate triggers.
