Our services: Survey and Repair / Structural Engineering
This project involved the external refurbishment of six blocks of flats of Laing Easiform construction, including new roofs, removal of redundant chimneys, external wall insulation, remedial concrete repairs and wall tie works, balcony works and the replacement of windows.
We carried out pre-contract consultancy work in respect of Structural Engineer, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor and Principal Designer duties. We updated previously prepared specifications and tender/contract documentation, collated the same for tender issue and evaluated the tenders.
Our post-contract services included contract administration, drafting the JCT form of contract, part-time inspections during the contract period and at end of defects period, together with duties of the Principal Designer and Quantity Surveyor under the terms of the contract to preparation and agreement of final account.
