Telford & Wrekin Council appointed us as part of a full design team lead by MACE to design the new state of the art Civic Office building. We designed and detailed the new four storey concrete flat slab structure supported of piled foundations.

The structure is notable for its irregular column grid, curved central atrium and significant cantilevers to the perimeter.

We used advanced finite element software to analyse the slabs to minimise the overall slab thickness hence reducing the weight of the building and its foundations.
