Inverclyde Council set a strong sustainability agenda for the new 1100 pupil school, with community facilities incorporated and the added pressure that the School was to act as the precedent and exemplar for the following PPP Schools programme.

As a consequence the building has achieved an A rated EPC certificate and a CO2 emission rate 30% lower than current Building Regulation Requirements.
