The latest episode of Behind the Curtin is now live, featuring Rt Hon Justine Greening, former Cabinet Minister and Founder and Chair of the Purpose Coalition.

For the first time, Behind the Curtin extends beyond our own team to welcome an external voice. Justine has worked closely with Curtins for nearly eight years, since we joined the Social Mobility Pledge, and brings a unique perspective on what drives our work and the impact we create. She is also leading some of the most exciting thinking in the UK today around social mobility and purpose-driven business.

In this episode, Justine shares what inspired her to establish the Purpose Coalition and what the organisation means to her. She also reflects on why Curtins is such a natural fit as a founding member, highlighting the important role we play in shaping lives and delivering meaningful social value within our communities.

The conversation also explores one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: gender representation. Justine discusses her role in introducing gender pay gap reporting to improve accountability, and the importance of “building the pipeline” to strengthen diversity and support the next generation of female leaders in engineering.
