Curtins is proud to announce that we have received six nominations for our projects at the Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber Awards 2026, celebrating innovation, collaboration and outstanding achievement across the built environment.

Organised by the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing at Leeds Beckett University, the awards recognise projects and teams that are raising standards across the construction sector. Being shortlisted alongside such respected clients and collaborators is a strong endorsement of our collective approach and shared ambition to deliver lasting good.

Our shortlisted projects include:

Building of the Year

Client of the Year

  • Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease

Project Spotlight

  • The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, Integration and Collaborative Working

  • The Rob Burrow Centre for MND, Social Impact

The strong presence of The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease across multiple categories highlights what can be achieved when engineering excellence is combined with a deep commitment to people and communities.

At Curtins, we believe the true value of our work is defined by the difference it makes in real lives. These shortlists reflect our mission to deliver expert consultancy solutions that enrich communities, support collaboration and build a better future.

We wish all shortlisted teams the very best of luck and look forward to celebrating excellence across the region.

Strengthening Curtins Digital and Innovation Leadership

We began the year by welcoming two brand new roles into our Digital and Innovation team, with a strong focus on research and development. Working in partnership with Ayming and Innovate UK, these roles are opening up new opportunities, including access to low‑carbon construction technologies. Marc and Sophie joined us for Episode 2 of Behind the Curtin, our podcast, to share more about what they have planned.
