As part of the conference, Curtins will be supporting delegates in exploring the latest research and design schemes. We will be presenting “Designing for resilience, renewal and regeneration: the structural and civil engineering of Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.”

As one of Europe’s largest acute hospital developments, Midland Metropolitan University Hospital stands as one of our most significant projects to date, for which we delivered civil and structural engineering and transport planning services.

Tom Leake and Süleyman Ekingen from our London office, who work on our civil and structural engineering team, worked on the project's innovative structural design and have been asked to share their insights from working on the hospital, alongside Jane Ho and Paul Niblett from HKS Architects.

Learn more about the project here.
