Hitting the midway point of our Civils Insight Programme has allowed our students to delve deeper into the design cycle, including Masterplanning.

We welcomed Board Director, Dan Evans who spoke about the RIBA stages and how this is crucial in project success, in line with other factors including sustainability and procurement.

Thank you to special guest Xu Zheng from Hawkins\Brown who spoke about an architect’s perspective working in collaboration to achieve Masterplanning. Xu demonstrated the fantastic projects that Hawkins\Brown work on across a number of sectors, specifically Stevange Life Sciences Campus. The group also gained valuable insight into an architect’s approach to masterplanning, goals, challenges and engineering solutions, as well as the evolving changes in industry and delivery.
