PCE Ltd, Curtins and specialist guest speakers from Kier Construction and Cast Consultancy came together in November to share their thoughts on how early involvement and collaboration can unlock the full potential of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

The construction industry is at a point of transition where the model for procurement is evolving, driven by earlier collaboration of design teams and contractors to enable MMC adoption.

Curtins and PCE Ltd have been at the forefront of embracing this shift. Through case studies in the MOD, MOJ, residential, education and healthcare sectors, Cast, Kier, PCE Ltd and Curtins explained the benefits of digital collaboration, from procurement through to design and construction of component parts.

Speakers:

  • Joe Thornton, Founding Director at Cast

  • Andrew Dewdney, Head of MMC at Kier

  • Simon Harold, Business Development Director at PCE Ltd

  • Dan Evans, Board Director at Curtins
