We invite you to join our team in Dublin to learn how to deliver lower embodied carbon projects through lean design and the structural optimisation of new developments, whilst preserving Ireland’s existing buildings.

A huge commitment to reduction is needed in Ireland to reach the Government’s embodied carbon target of a 10% reduction by 2025, and 30% by 2030. A crucial step in the progression towards these targets will be developing a greater understanding of project carbon emissions, and using this insight to inform design decisions.

We have been measuring the embodied carbon impact of our projects since 2021 to boldly inform design decisions and set targets for reduction. We have made a commitment to decrease the average embodied carbon in our projects from 340kgCO2e/m2 to 295kgCO2e/m2 by 2030 using our engineering designs only.

We firmly believe that engineering ingenuity can be a driving force behind sustainable and low carbon construction practices. Andy Roberts, George Plant and Karl Fitzpatrick will showcase best practice approaches to optimisation, MMC and the use of recycled content in new builds.

The CPD webinar will also explore how reusing existing buildings can lead to significant carbon savings; highlighting how retrofitting old structures contributes to a circular economy.

Lessons learnt, carbon data and project examples will be shared through the session, before wrapping up with questions at the end.
