Being Human is at the heart of what we do - it means showing empathy, patience, and fairness, while maintaining complaint processes and systems.

The team are involved in every stage of the employee journey - from welcoming new starters to supporting people as they grow and navigate changes in their roles. The team makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, making sure processes, documents, and systems run smoothly and accurately. HR also works closely with other departments – such as Finance for payroll, Marketing for attracting candidates, and IT/Digital teams to improve systems and the overall experience – helping keep the whole business connected and moving in the right direction.

As people grow in their HR careers, they take on more responsibility and begin to support the business at a more strategic level - which includes supporting leaders with decisions about future workforce needs, colleague wellbeing, development opportunities, and the overall direction of the organisation. A key part of the role is understanding employment law and legislation, making sure the company follows the rules and treats people fairly.

Strong teamwork, good communication, and professionalism are essential in HR. As skills develop, there are opportunities to specialise in areas such as Talent and workforce planning, Organisational development, Reward and Benefits, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion or Employee relations.

“I thrive on helping people by offering advice and support on internal matters. By creating a well organised, supportive, and high performing environment, our team helps colleagues feel valued, informed, and empowered to do their best work”
