The scheme comprises a 180‑bed hotel with restaurants, a bar, conferencing facilities, and associated back-of‑house areas, with an approximate gross internal area of 14,565 m². The site is currently in agricultural use.
In addition to the hotel, the completed development will deliver an 18‑hole championship golf course, a golf clubhouse, ten lodges for holiday accommodation, and 185 residential homes.
The mixed‑use development is expected to generate more than 300 full and part‑time jobs on completion, with a further 130 full‑time equivalent roles and an additional 285 employment opportunities created during the construction and development phase.
This world‑class facility represents a significant investment in Scotland’s hospitality sector, totalling approximately £480 million. Substantial wider economic benefits are also anticipated for the Angus region.
