Each year our Civil and Sustainable Infrastructure Summer Insight Programme gains momentum, and on Wednesday we were delighted to kick off, once again, with our largest cohort to date. 46 keen and inquisitive students are embarking on the development programme over the next 5 weeks, which aims to support future talent in our industry. Through it, we hope to promote social mobility and accessible opportunities for all. As some previous participants have gone on to become full-time members of our team, we’re excited unlock the potential of these students.

The students were welcomed onto the programme by Laura Rodríguez Ariza and Tom Leake as well as Board Director Neil Parkinson who introduced the Curtins’ story, heritage and the values of our founder, Bill Curtin. The group also heard about Jake Busby’s journey with us since joining as a civil engineering graduate, including his route to Chartership.  Plenty of inspiration for the students, as they consider their futures in civil engineering, hopefully with Curtins in mind!

We are extremely pleased to be working, once again, with Symetri to deliver the programme. Symetri will be supporting students with technical e-learning as well as contributing subject matter expertise across the scheme. It’s great to be continuing our partnership with them to the benefit of the students.
