A new flagship teaching building at York University’s Heslington West Campus.
The project consists of a 4,000sqm three storey building which provides students with 26 seminar rooms, with three of these rooms having the flexibility to open up to create larger spaces, as well as a double height 350 seat lecture theatre.
The seminar rooms are positioned around a central atrium space, with the new building providing a Gateway to the campus.
We provided Civil & Structural Engineering services as well as Environmental Engineering as the site was adjacent to Ancient Woodland, therefore we had to follow tree protection orders.
