Faced with poor ground conditions and the need for a fast-track construction programme, Curtins developed an efficient modular precast structural solution with piled foundations and a suspended ground floor slab, improving buildability, quality and delivery certainty.
We have played a key role in the delivery of Liverpool's Paddington Village Masterplan, supporting the transformation of a complex brownfield site into a nationally significant destination within Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter.
Curtins is supporting Related Argent on Brent Cross Town, a major new neighbourhood in North London. Built using the hyTower structural system, Plot 14 comprises three mixed-use residential buildings of up to 12 storeys, providing 286 build-to-rent new homes, retail space and a basement car park, contributing to the creation of a vibrant and sustainable new neighbourhood.
The Borough Yard project involves the regeneration and transformation of a significant 12-hectare brownfield site, paving the way for approximately 1,400 new homes. This initiative directly supports Wirral Council’s Local Plan for 2021–2037, contributing to the area’s long-term growth and regeneration.
This project involves the redevelopment of a challenging brownfield site with poor ground conditions and significant contamination constraints. Early engagement with specialist piling contractors helped inform the design approach, improve cost certainty, and ensure the proposed solution was both practical and economically viable.
A phased redevelopment of a historic industrial site, providing multi-discipline services. The project includes 800,000 sq ft of mixed-use space, innovative stormwater management, and complex in-situ groundwater remediation of TCE contamination, coordinated alongside live construction and supported by detailed environmental assessments and regulatory engagement.

We measure the carbon emissions of both our projects and our business to fully understand our footprint. Through detailed analysis and transparent reporting, we’ve set ambitious but achievable reduction targets.
Our goal is to reduce the average embodied carbon of our projects from 340kgCO₂e/m² to 295kgCO₂e/m² by 2030. As of 2026, we are exceeding this target.

NewsThe Government’s August 2026 update to the NPPF is the principal planning policy document for England and brings major changes to flood risk policy. While attention has focused on housing and planning reform, the new flood and drainage requirements could significantly affect development sites across England. The changes do not necessarily make development harder, but they do make it essential to identify flood and drainage constraints early, as these are now key development considerations rather than just technical issues.
