At Curtins, we know our people are the difference, and our first-ever Leadership Lab - sponsored by Symetri, was created to invest in the leaders shaping our future.

Day One: Perspective, Presence and Leadership in Action

Held at the iconic Spine Building in Liverpool, day one set the tone with a packed programme of insight and shared learning.

We welcomed Colin Sinclair ( CEO of Knowledge Quarter and Sciontec), who offered a valuable client perspective, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in strong partnerships. Julie Hatmaker (Place North West) followed with practical guidance on personal and organisational presence, sharing takeaways that will influence how we communicate and represent Curtins.

Our own teams delivered impactful sessions on leading with impact, high-impact conversations, and Curtins’ culture, encouraging open discussion on how we lead and support one another.

Day Two: Culture, Innovation and Looking Ahead

Day two focused on performance and future thinking. Damian Hughes, author and host of The High Performance Podcast, delivered an inspiring session on purpose, belonging, and psychological safety, highlighting how culture drives performance.

We’re proud to support Curtins’ leadership programme because it aligns with Symetri’s belief that strong, forward-thinking leadership is the foundation of digital and innovation success—investing in people today creates lasting impact for tomorrow.

Innovation took centre stage in an interactive AI workshop led by our Digital Innovation Team in collaboration with Symetri, where teams pitched forward-thinking ideas to enhance collaboration across the business. AECO Director at Symetri, Alan Stone, commented:

We also introduced our Expert Community, designed to strengthen knowledge-sharing, before closing with a forward-planning session focused on future opportunities.

Building Momentum

The Leadership Lab was more than an event, it was a powerful step forward in strengthening our culture, collaboration, and leadership capability.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, and to our sponsors Symetri and Griffiths & Armour for supporting this first-of-its-kind initiative.

We’re excited to build on this momentum as we continue developing the leaders who will shape Curtins’ future and deliver outstanding results for our clients.
